The purpose of these seals is to seal the transition between suspension arm and front axle on Beetle, Karmann Ghia and Type181 after 08/65 and The 2 larger ones (VW 131 405 129) are also the lower ones for the Type3 after 08/64-. 

These makes the grease stays in the front axle and the dirt and moisture cannot penetrate into the front axle housing.

The latter has rather destructive consequences on the front axle bearing and suspension arm running surfaces, so cracked or hardened seals should be replaced immediately.   We at BBT decided to start our own production because we couldn't find any reproduction that had a good soft lip that fits the suspension arm. All the reproductions we tested had a rubber lip that was much too hard and would cause premature wear. We wanted a better quality and had the tooling made ourselves to make it perfect. 

We can now proudly offer these as being equal quality to the original. The only thing your car really deserves! The seals are delivered in set of 4 pieces.
